I am very excited, yet very reserved. There are a few aspects of this book that I will be very surprised to see them do it in a movie, especially if they do something stupid like gear it tward children. I belive these aspects to be central to the story and think it will come accross very poorly if they leave to many out.

I'm reserved too, but I'm hoping they do this well. My main concern is that this is being done for television, so I don't know if they will be allowed to address facets like the Mord Sith.

Ah yeah, made for TV is not good. Still dependign on who it is, it might be decent. If Sci fi does it, it will be pretty good especially if it gets the premium budget for the year( there is always one per year that sci fi puts a large budget twards, it was the DUNE sutff before, this year its Tin man). If its for ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX forget about it, you will be lucky to hear the name Mord Sith, and if you do, it wont have the same meaning.

I will be crushed if they fuck this up. Crushed. I can't see the main networks having more of an audience for it than Sci-Fi, but that may just be optimism on my part. They'd better keep the Agiels, too!
